Melissa Simpson, P.M.A.

Melissa H. Simpson, PMA brings over 17 years of experience as a Paramedical Aesthetician or medical skin care specialist. After having experienced skin problems of her own, she decided at a young age to dedicate herself to helping people feel great about the way they look and feel about themselves.

She began her journey by opening her own business with a top line of European skin care products and facials. She became disillusioned with the promises of better skin by the skin care industry at that time. Not only was her skin not getting better, but also her patient's were not having significant changes. She decided to sell her business and explore other career avenues. But as the years went by, she was still unfulfilled.

An opportunity became available for her to continue her education in esthetics which she pursued. During this time, she was offered a position in a plastic surgeons office to develop a medical skin care practice. Although skeptical of all skin care products, she began to see the difference between a medical line versus an over the counter product. As her skin began to transform, her patients also saw healthy beautiful skin themselves. Through the years, she not only built this practice into a top 5 office for different medical skin care companies, but also trained 3 other technicians within the practice.

She is certified in many different product lines including La Roche-Posay, Biomedic, Obagi, SkinCeuticals, and Jane Iredale Skincare make-up. She has also had over 10 years of laser experience including hair and vein removal, rosacea treatments, micro-laser peels, broad band light and erbium skin resurfacing. For the past 16 years, she has had extensive experience with different types of acids used to perform chemical peels such as glycolic, salicylic, TCA, lactic and LHA. Having attended numerous master classes with renowned make-up artists, she is very accomplished in using Jane Iredale skincare make-up.

Always looking for new opportunities for herself and her patients, she opened SkinCare Specialists of Anderson. She welcomes the opportunity to serve her patients with the best technology available in skin care.

Michelle V. Brown, L.M.E.

In search of a more satisfying career, Michelle V. Brown, LME first ventured into the world of skincare by opening a retail store devoted to helping people look good and feel better about themselves through the use of skin care and cosmetics. It wasn't long before Michelle wanted to be more hands on, so she obtained her license in skin care and became a practicing Esthetician in one of Charleston's top day spas.

Over the years, however, Michelle became increasingly frustrated with products that promised a lot and delivered a little, only allowing a certain degree of improvement in her client's skin conditions. This led her to partner with a plastic surgeon to develop a medical skin care practice, allowing her to offer skin care with the highest percentages of the best active ingredients.

Michelle contributes over 10 years experience to the SkinCare Specialists of Anderson team. She is certified in various product lines, chemical peels and laser procedures. She is passionate about educating clients on the top quality ingredients and on the newest treatment options available, always striving to offer serious skincare with serious results.

In addition, Michelle works closely with cancer survivors, helping them with their skin care needs during, and after, chemotherapy.
